My Story

 

Other than a few sessions in the gym while at school, with no particular goal and not knowing what I was doing, I first started taking the gym seriously in 2014. I was underweight, weak and had extremely low self-esteem. I joined a gym with the goal of gaining strength and muscle and letting go of the disordered view I had around doing excessive cardio to 'burn off' food.

I have very clear memories of being unable to even lift a 10kg barbell onto my shoulders, I am completely self-taught in weight training and, believe me, I started from the bottom! Little did I know a few short years later I'd be able to deadlift well over double my bodyweight with ease.

I set out to do my first bodybuilding shows in 2016 in the toned figure category, I was way out of my depth but I was determined and finished with a second place and a fourth place in the two shows I did.

The fire was lit and I vowed to compete again in 2017 and bring a look that I could be proud of. I hired a coach and prepped for 16 weeks, bringing home 2 more trophies and 2 British finals qualifiers in the two shows I did respectively.

I'm currently filling the gaps in my training experience. From boxing to powerlifting to weightlifting, I'm working to be more of an 'allrounder'. After dedicating myself to bodybuilding for a period of my life, I am now working to become more of an all round athlete while completing my studies in Sport and Exercise Nutrition and working part time in the supplement industry.
